With deep love and reverence, we remember Tsurumatsu Saito, a brave veteran, devoted family man, and steadfast protector. He passed away on July 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, humility, and quiet strength that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born in Hawaii, Tsurumatsu, only child of Hanshichi and Tatsu Saito, answered the call to serve his country with unwavering dedication. As a proud member of the United States Army, he embodied the values of honor, courage, and sacrifice. His service was marked not only by duty, but by a deep sense of responsibility to those around him—always the one to step forward, always the one to stand firm.

A private military funeral service was held on August 8, 2025, where family and loved ones gathered to pay tribute to his life and service. The ceremony was deeply moving, a reflection of the respect he earned and the love he inspired. The sound of taps, the folding of the flag, and the final salute were reminders of a life lived with purpose and grace.

Beyond his military service, Tsurumatsu was the heart of his family—a kind-hearted husband, a loyal father, and a humble man who led by example. He was dedicated to those he loved, offering quiet wisdom, steady support, and unconditional care. His presence was a source of comfort, his character a model of integrity.

He is survived by two daughters Sukey and Susan (George) of Ellicott City, a son Steven (Kari) of Seattle, and four amazing grandchildren, Kristin (Josh), Lindsey, Nicholas and Julia.
