It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Kim Eareckson, who left this world peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on March 30, 1959, in Baltimore County. Sue lived a life as vibrant, unique, and unforgettable as she was.

Though Sue danced to the beat of her own drum, her heart belonged to the Lord. Her faith in Jesus Christ was her anchor, and we rejoice in the promise that she is now at peace in His presence.

She was a true original—a free spirit with a gypsy soul and plenty of edge to keep life interesting.

Her giving heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering individuality left a lasting impression on everyone blessed enough to know her.

Sue is survived by her beloved daughter, Hayley Ruth Hildebrand. She was preceded in death by her parents, George McGinnis and Virginia Ruth, and her brother, Scott Kenneth Eareckson.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Sue lived life fully, loved deeply, and remained unapologetically herself. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home
