Omidoris Cozart

November 16, 1920 — June 30, 2025

Omidoris Cozart of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 30 at her place of residence. She was a loving mother to four children; Norma Griffin, Howard Scott, Lillie Cozart, and Doris Cozart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Born on November 16, 1920 in Wake County, North Carolina to Nathaniel Scott and Lillie Rogers Scott. Omi was raised with a strong sense of kindness, family and community. She attended school in Wake county and later pursued a career working with children. She was a daycare provider for numerous children for over 50 years. She met and married Wiley Cozart. She was known for her warmth and generosity. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, and showing her care through food.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, her siblings: Ora Scott, Vincent Scott, Era Scott, Ilda Scott-Leathers, Claude Scott, Johnnie Scott-Thomas. She is survived by her sisters: Maeonie Scott-Jones and Gretchel Scott-Leathers. Her children, her grandchildren: Rhonda Brickhouse, Howard V. Scott, Richard, A. Scott, April Scott, Shaun Cozart. Her great grandchildren: Brittany Brickhouse, Kimani Brickhouse, Vincent Scott, Destinee Scott, Noah Scott, Prince Cozart, Khali Cozart, Nahla Cozart and Dawnae Scott. She leaves a wonderful host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who are all held dear. May she rest in peace.
