Mary Ann Polits (nee Natoli) passed away on April 3,2026 in Ellicott City, Maryland. She was 96 years old.

Mary lived a life defined by warmth, kindness, and a deep love for her large family and many friends. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh made everyone around her feel special and loved. She was proud of her Italian heritage and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed many activities, but her favorite was playing bingo.

Mary was a loving mother to her children AnnMarie Bracken (Gene), Michael Polits (Marsha), Kathy Smith and Mary Jo Bailey. She was the proud Nonnie of nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Anthony Natoli, sister-in-law Joanne Natoli and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Washington D.C she was the eldest child of Josephine and Philip Natoli.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Eugene Polits, her sister Rose Pizzola, brother Joseph Natoli and grandson Timothy James Lechtrecker.

A funeral mass will be held on April 16, 2026 Receiving Condolence: 10:30 Mass: 11:00 at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church Woodstock, Maryland


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Or Perform an act of kindness in Mary’s memory
