Jonathan "Jay" Keith Rinehart

Jonathan “Jay” Keith Rinehart was born August 11, 2004 and overdosed on November 8, 2022. He was 18 years old and a 2022 graduate of Atholton High School in Columbia, MD where he played soccer. He enjoyed skateboarding and high adventure with Boy Scouts of America. Jay was intensely creative, devoted to his music, and produced his own songs online. He was a certified lifeguard for the Columbia Association and was most recently employed at H&M in Bethesda, MD. Jay struggled with substance abuse for many years.

He is survived by his biological sister, Celia, and three younger siblings Magnolia, Arlo, and Henry. Jay’s parents, Tim Rinehart and Anna Holsten, made a donation to the College Skateboarding Educational Foundation (https://www.collegeskateboarding.com/) in Jay’s name and encourage others to do so.

He will be missed by his family.

The memorial service for Jonathan Rinehart will be private.
