Deacon John E. Ames Jr., of Ocean City, passed away on February 8, 2026. He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Ames; his children, Matthew Ames, Elizabeth Femrite (Jason), Jessica Nyman (Eric), and Daniel Ames (Bailey); five sisters and three brothers; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at MacNabb Funeral Home in Catonsville on February 13, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church on February 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
