Robert Cletus Sippel, "Bob Pop", age 94, passed away peacefully Sunday, 15 January, 2023 at Glen Meadows Retirement Community, Glen Arm, Md.
Robert was born 22 August, 1928, in Pottsville, Pa to Charles A and Emma Becker Sippel. Robert was preceded in death by: brothers Richard Lewis, Charles F (Sr.) and Joseph Leo Sippel; sisters Frances Winlack and Mary Quattro; his first wife Marge Galiano; and, his wife of forty years, Dorothy Haynes Sippel.
Survivors include his brother Lawrence G Sippel and sisters Emma Farr and Barbara, wife of Donald Schwartz.
Robert leaves behind nieces and nephews, 5 stepchildren, 10 Step Grandchildren, 25 Step Great Grandchildren and many friends at Glen Meadows.
He graduated from Pottsville High School, class of 1946. Robert served in the US Army and worked as a Life Insurance Underwriter. During over 20 years at Glen Meadows, he enjoyed woodworking crafts, baking bread and calling BINGO.
Robert was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Towson, Md; and, the Knights of Columbus.
A Memorial Service is being planned.
