Nancy Browning Bahr, age 73 of Baltimore, Maryland died peacefully and suddenly in her sleep at home on June 25, 2024
Nancy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 16, 1950, the daughter of the late Albert Love Bing and Helen Rau Bing. (Rau).
She worked for over 45 years in the mortgage banking industry, most recently retired from Nasa Federal Credit Union as a Mortgage Operations Manager.
Nancy just started enjoying her retirement and her new hobby of Crocheting. She also became extremely fond of sleeping in and getting her pedi's on a regular basis. And of course these frequent trips to the nail salon required a starbucks coffee. She was an avid Jeopardy fan and you knew not to call her Monday thru Friday between 7:30-8PM
She enjoyed baking for others, delicious black bottoms, lemon bars for Jackson, her favorite grandson, and allergy-free snickerdoodles for Emma, her favorite granddaughter. At every Christmas and Birthday you could always count on her to make Leslie's favorite, five flavor pound cake (crack cake).
Some quotes and words of wisdom from Nancy:
- "Be a Duck"
- "Ask yourself, does this pass the Nancy Bahr common sense test?"
- "Make good choices"
- "Don't let someone else's poor behavior be an excuse for yours"
Preceded in death by brother, John Paul Bing and lifelong best friend, Leslie Bowen Corby.
She is survived by two children: Jennifer Lynne Moore and her husband Robert Eugene Moore, Jr. of Delta, Pennsylvania;
and Karen Dawn French of Baltimore, Maryland.
Also survived by three grandchildren:
Sarah Sharlene Moore of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania
Emma Nicole Moore of Delta, Pennsylvania
and, Jackson Charles French of Baltimore, Maryland
She took great pride in the fact that her grandchildren were continuing their education with Jackson attending Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park, pursuing a degree in Business Management and Emma attending Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, now known as St. Joseph's University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, pursuing a career as a Radiography Technician. Sarah, her other granddaughter, has already completed her secondary education at East Stroudsburg University, with a BS in Psychology and Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, with a BS in Nursing and is currently working in the ICU on the cardiovascular floor of Lancaster General Hospital. Mom Mom was extremely proud of all three.
